Asthma Education Program

Asthma is the most common chronic childhood illness. Many families deal with labored breathing and coughing on a regular basis. These symptoms can be controlled when the parents have a good understanding of asthma and the medications used for treatment. If your child has been diagnosed with asthma, you will see our Asthma Educator. You and your child will spend 40-50 minutes doing pulmonary tests, discussing triggers, and reviewing medications. After your visit with our asthma Educator the doctor will come in to review tests and finalize an action plan for your child. Karen Yahyapour is an RN and a Certified Asthma Educator.
